Hi,
I am new to this vw camper malarky after having caravans for the last 10 years.
I been looking at this forum (which appears a great place for knowledge - so thanks for setting it up).
Anyway recently bought a 1980 T25 Devon (1600 petrol) and 1 thing I have noticed is that when the brake pedal is pressed, the head lights go on (on dip level).
Any ideas if this is normal with these vans? if not, how to fix?
Cheers

Re: Is this normal?
When you get 'electrical weirdness' along these lines it nearly always points to an earthing fault.
Look up above the fuse box on the N/S and you will see 1-2 earthing spiders (where most of the earthing spades are connected to) if my theory is correct this is probably where your problem lies) as in corroded connectors and or the spider itself.

Re: Is this normal?
Turned out that the issue was caused by faulty electrics on the tow bar and they were causing the issue.
