cold pipe ?

cold pipe ?
bled my water system last week but never really went very far took it for a good run yesterday and the temp guage sat at just over halfway got it home and checked the pipes in the engine bay . just to the left at the back of the engine 2 pipes run through a plastic junction thingy where i think the plastic screw is for bleeding ? well the pipe on the left hand side was hot but the one on the right after the bleed screw was only warmish any ideas ? thanks jeff

That pipe is from the radiator
It is delivering cooled coolant to your engine through the thermostat
If it remains cold then your thermostat is not opening or is at fault for not allowing a good flow of coolant
The "plastic junction thingy" is your thermostat housing
Assuming this is a petrol engine of course....

I changed the thermostat kev it was at the bottom of the engine by the oil filter its a 1.9 petrol
