clutch problem

my clutch went spongywith a biting point close to the floor, and gear change became difficult. There was no grinding or whining noise associated with gear change.The brake fluid is showing hardly any drop, the brakes are ok. I have noticed a bit of a small leak around the pedals recently, but thought it was water. the gears change ok when engine off.

There is no obvious drip fro around the bell housing. Is it the clutch master?
