Sliding door chipped paintwork solution?

Post by jiffies »

I keep chipping the paint on the edge of the sliding door. Its very prone to knocks. Anyone use an form of low profile edging trim that doesnt look hideous?

I'm the same with my tailgate. Back up onto the drive, get too close to the garage and open the tailgate only to scratch the edge of it on the garage wall.

I use some clear/translucent plastic "Door Guards" I bought at Motor World fairly cheaply. They at least stop the scratches and you can hardly see them as you see the paint through the plastic.

Hope this helps. :ok
