Throttle spindle leak - JX TD

Post by aulday »

alright mates

I've got diesel dripping from my throttle spindle when engine running from cold. Heard it might be the seals due to low sulphur in modern fuels wearing them out.

What's the score on fixing this? I'm probably going to leave to a diesel expert as I know it's best with diesels. I'd be happy to buy the parts myself, then take them to a mechanic mate and have him do it.

Now, on a JX does this mean big business? IE removing the pump. Or is it just a fix on the top job. Any idea of the total cost involved?

Thanks

ideal. so it's pretty much going to be that part? Is it pants pie to change, or hard as over inflated tyres?

I'll do myself if it's simple, but not if not. maybe there's a guide somewhere
