Yes, I live on the east coast which is equally as pretty. Tangleha is quite popular with fishers, lined up along the beach on a wild winters night......mad! Cuppy next time your over this way.

I may just take you up on that diane when the flask runs dry!

We only fish there in the winter during a good easterly blow! Brings the Cod on,, sometimes.
Inververvie is another place i visit to fish during the winter months.
I camped on the site last November just before it closed, nice big bonfire at the beach on the 5th.

I love Scotland. We've not camped there yet though. Maybe next year if the redundancy comes off...

it rains a lot and the midges are worse than anyting in jurassic park.

when its nice its fantastic tho. The beaches are fab and except for a few national park fascist polizei, if you clean up after folks let you get on with it. Afraid you also need survival suits for the temperature.

i am scottish and I always have a go at fellow scots who spout the anti-english cr*p. agreed mostly good - humoured and i got it the other way around when i lived in southall but it is wearing and some of my english pals told me over a pint that it is always a bit insulting!

just back from yorkshire in our t25. wtaer-pump went fubar but awfy nice fol in skipton fixed it at ok price - love you skipton.

mason's campsite about 8 miles out is really really good btw.

xxxx all

Been on a permanent "holiday" in moray....well it was called Banffshire way back then...for the last 30 years. Left south of France to live here and never looked back. The people in your life is what matter. And if you like laid back, the western isles are unbeatable.

Went to beautiful Scotland for the first time in September 2010 in the T25 and loved the whole experience. From the lovely picturesque campsites and kayaking down river Tay to happening upon the last highland games in the area for the year (in Pitlochry, Perthshire.)

The weather was actually pretty good for the time of year and with the clear skys at night it was the first time I'd seen the Milkyway and satalites passing by. A glorious place for townies like me and her. I'd recommend it, and we had no probs with midges.
