I'm putting up here first but if there is no interest over the next two weeks ( I'm away on business ) then Ill put it out over the usual sites. I don't have time anymore for it, I have the other one to restore, but we have found that driving around France in a classic Mercedes, vineyard to vineyard, is more 'us' than getting covered in muck and worrying about breaking something even though its off road life has been quite tame whilst in my possession.
All faults will be rectified and the small amount of seam rust on the bodywork will be sorted before sale
The asking price is €15,000 euro and if you are interested I will forward a complete spec.

Especially with the des kelly sofa on the roof must be worth a extra few hundred at least!
But seriously it's a lovely looking van and very original and a very good price too. good luck with the sale Andrew.
So whose going to be a the lucky one to lower fit a decoupler and camperise it ? I've got a lovely Devon side opening pop top or dave I'm sure has a hightop and even a kitchen unit knocking around somewhere which ye could pick up while your over here, might be even a set of Vw bullbars knocking around and a spare ortec you could fit instead of the wheel carrier (much lighter) oh one word of advice for an potential buyer is to ask Andrew to change the gear oil infront of you, you could even video it an post a link on here oh if I only had the money to spare!
My heads been turned (abit) by the old mercs but Mrs is old stick in the mud VW. I'm working on it.
Umm, second most beautiful car I didn't buy was a 190SL - when they were cheap and I was rich and in love, I almost bought one as a wedding present for my wife. Ended up with kids and "practical" VW's instead. Never looked back (too much), just looking forward to small house, kids married off, huge garage full of toys (oops I obviously mean highly suitable automobiles for my planned new life style)
Forgive my ignorance, but are they really worth that much these days?
I'm not doubting the vans worth, just interested in the going prices, and haven't any experience of the Syncro scene.
If it happens to be just what your looking for; its worth as much as your prepared to pay to secure it. There is no RRP on these anymore; study the market and talk to Andrew about this van and you could end up feeling it is a bit of a bargain!
