Sorry, Peugoet code question

Post by meggles »

Peugeot 307 Fault code 802 Driver air bag ignition stage 2 open circuit. Any idea what may be wrong please. From next year this will be a test failure item/ A local reputable garage has checked a lot of things out for me so far
This is my sisters car and I'm desperately trying to help her.
Many thanks

Hello,

does this fault come back immediately if you clear it? I believe if it's persistent, this is normally due to the com2000 unit (at least it was on my neighbour's 206 that had an airbag light) - you can reconned units for about £90 I think... easy to fit too...

I'm just working on memory here....Hope you find the problem

Ewen

hi Ewen, thanks for replying. I believe it is constant and won't clear. I'll pass your comment on to mechanic. He is a brill mechanic but totally perplexed, as are the main Peugeot Dealers in York. Many thanks. :ok

I'm surprised the Peugeot dealer is perplexed Keith. I did a google search and it seams it's a very common problem with Peugeots.
Martin.

Diesel is an engine not a fuel.

I liked camping so much I went full time.

I tried to google it and couldn't find anything. Maybe the dealer wants the work? Can I ask you PLEASE to give me a link to the google thingy. Thanks

Thanks for that. :ok I've passed on the info. (I had had a couple of beers when I looked yesterday!). Trouble is my sister is a widow so she is stuck with even the simplest of jobs.

here's a link to a recon com 2000 too, in case cleaning connections up doesn't help:

If you do have a poke about at it, make sure you disconnect the battery and leave it for 20mins first.
Never use a multi meter on airbag or SRS equipment unless you know what you are doing or you may just set them off.
NO PIES CAKES OR BEER LEFT IN THIS VAN OVERNIGHT.
