Hi People
I have a westy with a hightop. For those that know this bus in the hightop are two small lights at the front of the hightop. the two small lights are the same as the courtesy light above the drivers door.
Is it possible to wire the two lights to the courtesy light at the drivers door so they come on when a door is opened.
At present only the courtesy light above the drivers door comes on when any of the drivers, passesnger and sliding door are opened. It would be really great to wire these two lights to come on also when a door is opened.
Thanks and best wishes
Rehan

Re: Westfalia Hightop courtesy lights
It's no problem from an electrical wiring point of view. The problem lies with physically getting the wire to the lights themselves through the hightop lining etc. Is the actual sliding door courtesy light removed in a westy then? And is the door push switch still in the 'B' pillar?
As an aside; I had to remove my cab head lining not long back so I installed another courtesy light over the passenger door so that both lights illuminate when either of the front doors open - not that dificult a job and makes quite a difference to how much the cab area lights up when you open a door.
E D I T: just noticed you said the driver's side light comes on with the sliding door so you must still have the switch on the 'B' pillar

Yup....just take the earth side of those lights down to the door switch and solder them in to the existing wiring.
Just make sure the lamps are not earthed where they are mounted so the only way to complete the circuit to them is through the earth point on the door switch.
