Hello, My first post as a proud owner of a very tidy 1984 T25 Westfalia Hightop!
I am looking to store her over to winter, I have found a farmers field but idealy would like to cover it over.
Does anybody know of a suitable cover. I have had a look on JustKampers but the only cover they stock is not suitable for hightops!

Re: Westfalia Hightop Cover
Welcome to club 80-90 also known as the madhouse.
From what I've seen of threads on here is that it's not a good idea to cover them over for the winter as this leads to condensation and mould growth inside. The consensus of opinion seems to be that it is best to give the outside bodywork a good coat of hardish wax polish followed by a second coat with a softer wax polish. It's best if laying it up for the winter to properly prepare your van from the tyres up. Get it on axle stands and let the tyres down so as to prevent uneven pressure on the tread. I'm sure there is more advice contained within the tech section on this subject.
Of course the best advice I can give you is not to lay it up in the first place but to use it all year round. These vans don't like being laid up for too long as that is when problems start.
There will be other people come in on this thread with good advice. This is a friendly club and every body likes to help. They will mostly ask to see pictures of your van, so I'd get some posted soon if I were you.
Bob.

You got any pictures of your van?
I agree, keep it on the road during the winter and use her, camp in her.

Thanks for the advice. I have put a couple of pics on the garage. Can you see them on there? The van has been well insulated, and has the westfalia double glazing so it does not look like we have any excuses!

She's a beaut !
I like the VW logo just visible in the door of the large cupboard. That's class! I also like the tripod legged table that you can put anywhere.
One very nice bus with a great colour scheme too.
