2.1 DJ recon...... Hydraulic Tappets????

Hi All.
How do I know if my recon 2.1 dj has got hydraulic tappets?
I have something in my head saying "All Recons don't have hydraulic tappets" but I don't know where that came from or if its true. Can I see by looking at it?
Can someone link to a nice picture/story/details of doing tappets on a 2.1 watercooled?

Who did the recon?

Is there a sticker with a picture of the valve and spring and some adjustment values on the engine?
can you get a 6 thou feeler gauge under any of the rockers at TDC firing stroke... if not it's a hydro

had a 2.1 volks spares engine (green painted engine case) that had manual tappets

It's NOT true, the chances are 'they' would check and refit the original tappets anyway.
