Ok, now have the van on my drive so feel at liberty to show pictures and talk details. Its taken a few months to sort but I finally got the van yesterday. A quick round up ...cost me £2650 plus all the add ons (flight, shipping etc), plus whilst I was in Finland I took a trip to Miiko Oberschlacters and bought some running gear (box, front diff, shafts, bits of trim etc. Flew to Tapere via Ryanair the guy selling the van picked me up and insured me for the weekend so I drove the van down to Miiko's (about 100kms away). He gave it a quick once over and liked what he saw which gave me the confidence to go ahead. I also got the full guided tour of the workshop and various barns that house his collection! What a place! Anyway its a 92 diesel and is in very solid condition. A few bits need attention in the usual places but generally very solid. The seams are all good and original. Some nice nordic extras - heated seats, headlight washers etc Owned for most of its life by the Electricity Board it was originally white, they spayed it company colours and then the next owner returned it to white, not the best of paint jobs. It then sat unsed for 4 years until the seller picked it up and got it up and running and sold it on. Theres loads to do to get it back up to spec but its a great base vehicle to pour untold amounts of time and money into. Ok so its not 20K + and sitting in a garage in SA but it is a16" panel van and its on my drive
