1.6 Diesel CS Engine Oil

Post by realaledrinker »

Hi Gents,

I have had a problem with an oil leak for a while, After changing gaskets, O-rings, Oil cooler & Filter, I’ve just identified a hairline crack in the oil cooler / oil filter housing.
I can see it on both sides. I’ve just tried to fix it with liquid metal adhesive, however I don’t hold out much hope for that fixing it permanently.
The original part number is 068 115 417 R
I’m really struggling to find a replacement.
Does anyone know where I can get one quickly?

It’s a 1.6 Diesel CS Engine 1983

My CS did not have an oil cooler, is it an after market thing?

The Correct Part No for the CS Oil Cooler is 068-117-021B
068-117-021BX
You will also need a New Rubber seal--------038-117-070A
You can get these parts from GSF. Just for the Ref/ the 1.9d Cooler will fit on the 1.6CS/JX.

Keep the Liquid Metal for when No 3 Piston and Conrod appears through your engine block side casing.
Ohhhhhh And Welcome to the Club.-------- Would be nice if you come back to this thread and tell us how you got on-------------- :idea
