Sorry if this has already been covered.

My temp gauge is showing nothing even after 100+ miles.......what is the common fault on these??

ahh ,thats me out then..only do diesels.
if you can find your temp sensor on't engine, pull the plug off it and run it to earth..the needle on the guage should go through the roof(not the van roof)..then you know its the sensor at fault
other than that its fault finding all the way back to the clocks

im sure you will get some help at the pikeys..but get there early saturday as they will be too pissed after 6ish and too hung over on sunday to do anything :lol:

It would be useful to you to find out what engine you have for any future queries.
Engine code is on the engine below the breather tower.
