Hi all
Made up to have found somewhere for T25ers - I've got a great '82 Aircooled beauty, but fear that the clutch is on its way out - pretty bad whiff at the end of a drive, slipping etc
does anyone have an idea of a price i should be budgeting for to get a new one fitted? many thanks for any help

£100 for the clutch. gearbox out and back in, £200+ maybe depending on rates and experience of these, some mechanics run a mile and quote high as they dont want to touch them, may be worth booking it into a T25 aware garage if it can hold out long enough for you to get a slot booked. E D I T your profile and maybe post an introduction so we know a bit about you!

Re: Clutch on its way out - how much for new one
My clutch gave up the ghost last weekend ("fried" according to the AA chap). I'm booked into Manchester Air Cooled, unfortunately the earliest slot was the end of October.....the wait is killing me. That said, I know it'll be worthwhile, I've a list of other jobs that need looking at at the same time so they can all be blitzed together. Looks like it'll be bread & water for us for the next few months

I paid £375-00, but having read other posts on here feel I may have been ripped off
Anyhow, depending on how good they are, hourly rates etc, I'd budget for £400

Around £95.00 posted for the clutch and approx 3 hours labour for the fitting.
Hourly rate? about £45.00
£135 plus £95 plus the dreaded....£276.00?
