Doesn't just happen to AAZ's have seen it on JX's as well .There are meant to be a few solutions one being the drilling and insertion of dowels and also grinding down the end of the crankshaft flat to take a TDI sprocket or changing the crank to one from a TDI and also just replacing the sprocket and bolt when doing an engine installation seems to help delay this happening

From what I gather they re-designed the bolt and pulley to stop this from happening, whether it was either or both I'm not too sure but I replaced both as a precaution.

Does the bolt have a "Belleville" type washer, like on a wbx? I noticed that on one of mine it was distinctly flat (not dished) so wouldn't have had any tension when torqued up.
Wouldn't a thorough degrease and use of threadlock avoid all this aggro?
