more water misery

Post by jeffdub »

ok after thinking id cured my overheating problem i was in for a shock ! drove home from work to find water spraying out of a pin hole in the header tank but the biggest thing seems to be my rad isnt getting hot ? water in the header tank hot and the rads cold the temp gauge goes up until i turn the heater onto warm blow then goes down when i bled the system the other day i had warm water coming out of the bleed screw on the radiator is my rad doomed or the engine ? thanks in advance jeff

bleed it again mate. no expert but the water has a long way to travel and lots of places for air to hide.

I've just flushed through my radiator using a pressure jet - you won''t believe the cr@p that came out. The temperature is more settled and the blower is now hotter...worth considering.
