Bugger!! Found an oil leak :( Any pointers please?

Post by Mickyfin »

Whilst working on the bus today I noticed a small patch of oil underneath on the road, looked up, and can see the area its coming from, but don't know its actual location exactly due to the oil running down behind the shielding. See photo below to see what I mean which should help.

Photo taken from LH Drivers side (Oil filter side).

Hope someone can help diagnose where this leak is coming from so I can look into fixing it.

Thanks in advance!

Will do, just need to figure out how to do so  Think its the retainer bar, plus 4 bolts?

Yes, its the oil pressure switch side, and as it happens my oil light has recently started to come on at idle too, so this may well be related, so will order a new sensor, and gasket. :ok
