Construction and use regulations (and the MOT) says something about H/lamps being fitted in matching pairs.....

My squares are far far superior to my old round H4's both with the relay mod and silverstars

My 1st drive home in my van was for 2 hours in the dark. I thought the lights were diabollical especially as they wouldn't allow me to stay on full beams, I had to hold the light arm on to have full beams. It was only the following morning I disovered that light switch clicks twice. Yes, I had driven for 2 hours on just the side lights!!

Re: Round headlights or square... But which is best...?
For me it depends on the type of van.
I have seen some campers, later ones with sqaures, and they don't look so nice. Whereas some of the high spec models that kind of embrace that 80's thing, they do look cool. Multivans and LLE's and such, they have to have sqaures.
Early vans, look much better with round lamps. I have seen one or two converted to sqaure and it just looks wrong. I am not saying round lamps are that retro but you can't have a retro van with with sqaure lamps
I also saw a van with doube round lamps at the front (not SA) not sure how that conversaion was done but that looked kinda cool.
i think, obviously, it's a choice, to me when I was looking for a van, there were many variants but it seemed to me you either chose an early van and embraced that look or went for a later van with it's 80's trinklets - which was my cup of tea, but I realise not everyone's.
I love the sqaure lights on my van they completely add to its character
but I love certain vans with round ones
.

lol - You don't fancy selling them do you?
You don't have an overtly 'retro' van - it's quite individual - so they look good, as if they were meant.
It is down to personal choice isn't it

Well, I agree with you all - I think both types look cool too! And thanks to Yorkierob for being the first one to answer with the Harry Hill reference! At last!

Cheers James
I think the squares look far better than the rounds even without the modded lower grill

OOh defo round ones.... a lovely beaming happy face on a T25 anyday..... unless you prefer the poker snake-eyes or bespectacled look. There's a certain "old guy at a kids disco" thing going on with the squares too...... Nah!

I always considered squares to be mean and sleek and rounds more meek and geek?

I agree that aircolds suit round headlights though
