So, last Wednesday, setting off for the ferry to the Isle of Wight, I had the buzzer. So I stuck a litre of oil in (2.0 Aircooled) and it stopped. Bought more oil, went on my way.
I'm now parked up at Hanover point, having had the buzzer again. This time another litre of oil didn't fix it. It's intermittent, but I've so far played cautious and phoned the RAC.
If they can't sort it, I've got two options (I think)... Get recovered to a garage here, or get recovered to my usual one near home.
Any thoughts?
70 mins til ferry time. Non flexible ticket and am guessing there's no room on the later ones (50k people coming home from Bestival)
Third option is try firing it up again and see what happens.

e2a: I've read the wiki entry. RAC with me, and he's read it too now.

Re: Buzzer of doom / Any van mechanics on Isle of Wight?
Verdict was: Let's give it a try.
RAC man followed me down to Yarmouth, no buzzer, made it to the ferry with 10 mins spare. Next stop Lymington. Hopefully just passing through.

If you get probs when driving through the forest there's a place at Sway (right next to the main line train station) called KFK they repair T3's. Phone number is 01590 683429. Hopefully you won't need them (prob a bit late now) but incase you do.

Thanks Gandalf. Luckily the buzzer of mystery didn't go off again and I'm home after a trouble free journey.
Mark - Unfortunately I didn't read the wiki until after putting more oil in. The RAC man did say "if anything, there's too *much* oil". I hadn't even thought to check the dipstick first. Another T25 lesson learnt. Thanks for the pointers, I'll get those ancillaries checked out soon.
