Right, started changihg my brakes discs and calipers and decided to take everything off the front end to get sandblasted and painted including steering knuckle, bars, springs, wishbone, etc.
Encountered several issues namely the caliper carrier bolts. Now find myself with all the bars off the steering knuckle/hub thing. However the bottom balljoint isn't coming off the swing arm. Tried smacking it with everything I own to get it off but its not moving..
Is there something I'm missing? Just smack it down hard enough and it should slide off the swing arm?

Re: Front steering knuckle balljoint... HELP!
Once the Castle/Lock nut has been removed it is simply a matter of striking/shocking the bottom mount cleanly to release it from the joint,,,,,,Try holding the hammer handle lower down the shaft to allow you to get a full swing...
