Yup thats the air intake from the snorkle to the air filter and yes they all look like that and no they are not syncro specific ..............

Im trying to picture where exactly this is located.

Is it behind the plastic panel shown here on mine with my new blue vacuum hose going into..?

Whats confusing to me, is that I can clearly see that in your photo, you have screw retainers (Which hold the cover plate on), whereas with mine of the same place is head on with clips with push on fixed studs.

When I removed my panel recently to attach my new vacuum hose, I don't recall seeing anything like what you have there, which is why I am a little confused lol

Ha ha! The picture is taken through the hole when the left rear tail light is removed. You won't have the fitting because it's diesel. It joins the air filter canister to the snorkel
