Rounded Allen bolt removal help please
Hi all, I'm currenly in the process of replacing the metal coolant pipe on my Syncro. Everything was going well, but you guessed it one of the Allen bolts has decided to play silly buggers and I can't get it undone.
Can anyone help or suggest what I need to get this bolt out please?
I'm currently outside working on my bus right now but running out if ideas.
Thanks in advance

Hi mate
If you have a set of torx bits for your socket set you could try using one of them that is a good fit and apply gentle pressure. Or if youre lucky get a imperial allen key to fit the rounded metric hole. All the above depend on the size of the origional and how rounded it has become.
good luck

How much access is there?
Weld a big nut on it.
At worst drill the head off.

Cheers guys, already tried those options and failed. Access is quite limited too.
Even tried knocking on a cheap socket but to no avail. Really need to get this done today but I have completely run out of ideas now. I'm trying to be careful too as to not break anything as this stuck bolt is in the alloy cast casing of the water pump.
