Re: Window filler strip
You can still get the original stuff. Its often claimed that its as rare as rocking horse poo but VW Emporium seem to get it ok. Alternative is to look at Seals Direct (or Ebay) but can't vouch if its an exact match - most seems flat or diamond shaped whereas windscreen insert on a T25 is actually shaped more like a capital 'T' . Sides may be different again. To be honest, I just masked my side ones off and sprayed them with a chrome spray..
For sure, someone does it by the mile and probably cheap as chips but finding that someone really IS like rocking horse poo...

Re: Window filler strip
I do the chrome lookalike insert for the side windows on panal conversions but as there are different profiles of seal then same applies to the insert, a sample 1" long would do .

Re: Window filler strip
I changed them last year, got them from VW-Classic Parts. It's 10,50 € over here in Germany for a 4,1meter Strip (long enough for the front window or two side windows) Art.: 255853305. The little crome things that cover the gap where the strip ends meet are Art.: 171 853 339 A. The strips bend more easily if you put them in warm water before you install them. You need a tool to get the strip in without taking the windows out and using a dry lubricant spray like Loctite 8192 PTFE coating helps a lot.
Cheers, André

Re: Window filler strip
Could do with a WIKI on this. Do take some photos regarding fitting the trim and close-ups of the profile shapes.
