Exhaust query

Hi all

Now my exhaust is looking to good on my 1990 velle now these dont seem to be very cheap for my year

Is there any reason why i couldnt use PRE 85 one as they seem to be availible second hand at a good price

There is no reason why you can't use a pre 85 exhaust, the silencer supports would have to be removed though.

I can't think of ANY reason to fit a second hand exhaust though, cheap? yes, but it won't last as long as a new one so you pay twice!.... mad!

You can just change the part you need. Brickwerks do exact copies in stainless so you can slowly change your system to stainless piecemeal depending on your budget. Otherwise it's JK or GSF which is around £300 for a full mild steel system that could give you 6/7 years or 2/3 years depending on which brand of chinese cheese it was made from that day :ok

Or you could change it all for a vwspeedshop stainless system (based on the early system) for £450
