Well, I can thoroughly recommend the Tan Hill Inn in the Yorkshire Dales. £2 pppn to camp there with views to die for. Food in the pub is excellent and a big breakfast for a £5 each if that's what you fancy. Staff are really friendly and often impromptu performances from talented punters - with fiddle, guitar etc!!

We also have spent many a night there. It is only 20 mins down the road but it has a great atmosphere and I like to sit back and people watch. However we always end up very merry!!! They do a fab breakfast and sunday roast (just make sure you book!)

We spent bank holiday Sunday and Monday at the Royal Oak Hurdlow [Buxton]. Crowded but cleared somewhat on Monday, seems very popular as its at the end of the Tissington trail and I would take the bikes if I went again. The food in the pub is very good with decent portions, best to book a table as many non campers eat there, good selection of beers and friendly staff. The site itself slopes so take your leveling blocks.
Good site, pity about the weather.

Just spent the weekend at Red Shoots in Ringwood - (on the List in Hampshire) Great camp site - brilliant facilities and yes a PUB :ok its a bit like 'are you being served' when booking a pitch but worth the effort !
