HI Peeps
Today I have made a thermal wrap for Roxy.
I have started to see these for sale at shows but sellers wanted between £120 and £150 pound. So after a little trip to B&Q to buy two rolls of silver back bubble wrap at £8 per roll and a short trip to hobby craft to buy some heavy duty cotton trimming, some sticky velcro, and a denim needle for the sewing machine I run this up in about three hours.
Total cost £28 BARGAIN!!!!! Just hoping now its going to make camping at VW Action at Santapod this weekend a tad warmer.......Brrrrrrrr!

Its only for the cold camping months. I could cut holes for the windows but I wanted to try it out this weekend as it is first.

i have the same roof and all the heat goes up there from the propex..tis a good idea

We made one of these earlier in the year for Dubaid in March. Not sure whether it made any difference went down to -5 brrrrrrrr cold.............bit of a pain to get on n off but hey its gotta be better than nought !!

When its cold, you want the shiny side inwards to reflect the heat back into the van.

Yes i read that, so when I made it a put the two sheets together back to back with the shiny side facing out on both so it looks pretty on the outside
and practical on the inside (bit like me dare I say it
).
Shoud reflect the heat nicely

But that would squash the kids. And I dont want them in bed with me....stealing my covers and the like....they can freeze up top!!

They are 7 and 8, when they are a bit bigger maybe, thats why we bought Roxy because we all no longer fitted in our tin top Bay Window as it was us sleeping in the awning last year and I couldn't suffer that for long

Now make some for your windows, you WILL notice a difference, plus like stated already duel purpose and it keeps it dark in the summer months
