I'm about to gut the interior from our new van as it isn't really suited to our needs. We need something suited to carrying 4/5 children in the back and are considering two buddy seats behind the cab seats and a full width R&R at the back.
On looking Multivan beds are few and far between, similarly Genuine Westy full width beds are difficult to source. Both are expensive.
I happened across a set of plans for the Reimo (VW KSB80) rock and roll bed which are detailed enough to build one from - either in Westy style (low level) or the higher version with storage in the rear. I can buy hinges and other parts for the Reimo still.
Having only experienced the Westy setup I wonder if anyone has views on the Multivan/Reimo versions. What are the benefits in space/comfort/safety?
