JX Oil Temp. Sender

Post by Titus A Duxass »

Can anyone recommend an oil temp. sender for a standard JX 1,6TD?
Do (did) VW provide one?

I'd like to monitor the oil temp before I start tweaking the JX (yes, an oil cooler is all ready on it's way).

Hello,

I got the VDO one which goes up to 120C from busschmiede - if you're getting an oil cooler, you can get a sandwich plate with a temperature sensor installed, but you might prefer to read the temp from the head. Mine's one of these I think:

That's funny - that's the first place I looked before starting the thread.
I'll have to take another look.

I probably wasn't clear - the one I have is the one they fit to the sandwich plate on their oil-cooler systems. I'm not sure if they sell it separately. Works very well for me though!
