Why does the early eaxhaust system for 1.9wbxr seem to have a heat exchanc=ge but the late not? or does the late and i can't see it on diagrams?

all 1.9 right hand pipe has the warm air take off for the carb.. 2.1's and injected 1.9's dont have it... If its rotten and falling off... remove it and join the intake pipes together... :ok

Not necessary for this climate.

What climate is if for? Warmer or colder?

Being warm air from a hot exhaust it would be for a cold climate

nearer the arctic circle climate

It does help (a little) with initial running on a freezing cold day. Its effectively a hang on from the type1 and 2 days.
