I'm looking at converting the new van to use a 1.9TD AAZ engine and being a bit new to diesels could do with a shopping list. I have some Syncro specific bits already but a full list would be great so I can hunt down the rest.
To date I have the Syncro 1.6TD rear protection cradle, Syncro diesel engine bars and mounts, bellhousing with breathers, extended oil filler neck but I think that's it. I may also have located a suitable engine donor which will be taken in exchange my 2.1.
Thanks in advance

Petrol to diesel:
diesel tank
syncro engine carriers
engine mounts 2wd or 4wd
jx exhaust 2 or 4wd
engine skid plate
bell housing (syncro has breathers 2 wd doesn't)
Diesel input shaft
All JX hoses
Turbo sump wd or late one would be best
JX ex manifold and turbo if your engine has a 3 bolt flange
water outlets from water pump
engine bay wiring and glow relay
diesel tray if you want to relocate battery
starter
turbo exhaust brace bracket (not essential)
air blower (not essential but nice)
electric water pump (some go without)
throttle cable
tin plate between engine and gearbox 4wd only
oil feed pipe to turbo
Oil return spigot shaft bearing (don't forget it - majority do!)
JX thermostat for vans with air con
That'll keep you going for now
oil filler - tend to block that off and fill from the top, prevents problems with fan belts wipping against it
dip stick mod the original at comes with the aaz - lengthen about an 1"
AAZ flywheel and clutch
drop us a line if you get stuck got a collection here...
1.9 TDI Syncro Multivan
1.9 TDI Doka project in progress
The items in bold I already have. Think I have a sump too
