Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows exactly how much bigger than the glass the hole should be?
I'm guessing 7mm all around but just wanted to check. I'll be using metalmickey's seals (hes away today).
Also what do people do normally with louvred windows? The aluminium is a lot thinner than a pane of glass...
Thanks,
David

No, just "resizing" the existing rusted out hole for the louvred window in mine (fridge panel side)

Re: Panel van rear window cut-out size?
My louvered window has a little rubber seal around the frame which I guess is put there to allow for it fitting the window rubber seal.
If yours is missing, I guess you could try Seals Direct - or Mickey perhaps. [He supplied my new window seals too

If all else fails, then I suppose you could use some self adhesive solid foam tape to make the gap up? I'd put it on the inside to that its less likely to fail due to rain water and you could just put some screen sealant to the outside bit before you finally fit the insert & trim it all with a craft knife ? Just a thought, it might do the trick...

My louvred window just had a normal seal and the thickness was made up with what looked like cream-coloured sikaflex. Which is why it rusted out so badly I reckon. I could do the same again, or try to find a better thickness seal.

Hi Boatbuilder, is it 7mm? Got my side window to fit soon and got the seal off Mike. Thanks, Jon.

I hope it is, because thats the size I made mine. Will have to wait for mickey or Newkentishcampers to check theirs...
