CALLING ALL THE ENGINE EXPERTS (PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE)
I admit that I resorted to the pub tonght and am a little the worse for wear but can someone please tell me why I cannot find an old style thrust main bearing for my DG engine. Am i just not suitalby connected? Simon can't find it, although he ordered it from Germany the wrong thing came in, my local engine rebuilder cannot get it and yet I can see it on ETKA drawings and other sites. But whenever I contact them I get "it has to be made in Brazil" or somehting like that. I can get the other three ok but the main flywheel end flanged thrust bearing is like the bloody holy grail. I have been off the road for 6 plus weeks now and my good lady wife has been taking me to work and it is becoming untenable. Is this a part apart, does it have to be crafted from motlen angel wings? Does anyone know...please... where I can get one?
