Anyone know if the Germans have an equivalent of the British OS and French IGN Blue maps.
I normally use the ADAC regional Stadatlas's which are pretty good but would like something more detailed with contours etc.
Thanks

Re: German Maps
No unfortunately they don't have an OS equivalent.
The best are the British army maps if you can get hold of them.
You can get local area hiking type maps that have a lot of detail.

Re: German Maps
Having just whizzed through Amazon the best you can get is Kompass Karten but they are not a patch on the OS range.

Re: German Maps
Thanks Titus
I thought that might be the case as I could not find any, just a bit surprised they didn't have national mapping and thought I'd missed something.
I'll check out Kompass Karten although they might be based on ADAC or visa versa.

They are not bad, I have not seen them before.
I still don't think they're up to OS standard.

in view of who won the war i'd have thought the OS would've mapped teutonia very carefully.
