T25 Diesel Dipstick Fitting

Post by Prazeanbeeble »

Hi, folks, posted this question over Brickyard too.
Just gone from 1.7 to 1.9 diesel, i've done this swap twice before, but im buggered if i remember how to sort this...
I can't remember if the dipstick o-ring and washer slot into the block, or is it just the o-ring that goes in and is held in place by the washer?
I've got a annoying oil leak from the seal, again.....!
If the engine 'aint in the back, it's cack!

If you look on Brikworks shop and look up the o ring it tells you there which way it goes, I cant remember off hand.

I know which way around they go, i just need to know if the metal washer is supposed to fit inside the hole in the block rather than flush with the top.....
