Help me out please.

Post by armyphil »

I've been looking at syncros for ages and I can't find what I'm after. Am I looking in the wrong place?

I looked at one off eBay last night and even that wasn't what I'm after cheers Aidan, lloyd and Elvis for the advice by the way. Way to many things wrong with it for the price.

What I'm after along with everyone else is either a multivan so I can swop my westy interior over or a westy to start with high top or pop top.

Must have a rear diff lock both are preferable.

Is that to high a spec to want? Cash is burning a hole so come on people help me out a little please.

I've not got a massive budget but I think it's reasonable to find a half decent van.

Cheers all

Good luck phil, plenty of vans out there, just have to look further afield. Finland still seem to be quite cheap, a few around the 1500-2000 mark.
Your main problem will be finding a multivan with a factory pop top, to fit your interior into. Limits your field quite a lot.
You can also look on IG16 and http://www.autoscout24.de/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wow, that must be right on your door step.

It's true that Syncro's are cheap in Finland. It's because it is so far away. Imagine going all the way for it to be a heap. Or driving 1600 miles with a van you have never driven before through countries where you can't speak the language.

What's wrong with the ones on busman.be?

My caravelle may be up for sale in the next few months. But don't hold your breath. :lol:

The one on eBay I looked at it last night nowhere near worth the cash IMO.

Last month two syncro westys on eBay.de and I got outbid at the last minute both times. They both went cheap maybe for a good reason but for a good van I don't mind spending out

That means you didnt bid enough to be really comitted ....... if you really want something then you have to bid strongly and bite the bullet. Hit it with your best shot and use Auction Sniper. Dont bid to what you think it might go for but bid to win with your max bid very near the end.

I put a bid on my first Syncro of €5000 using auction sniper and got it for €4200 and on my current Syncro I thought it would be worth at least €7k so thats what I put on it. I got it for €5500. Both bought unseen!
