service parts

Post by onc onc »

Well im in the process of giving me old girl a service, (the van not the missus) lol, i normally get most of my service parts from vw main dealer in bishops stortford and find the parts reasonable, however i was quoted £115 notes for a set of leads, What the blithering heck i have now sourced these for a more reasonable £30. now what i want to know is, is what is the differance between the two apart from a bigger hole in me wallet

There can be a vast difference in quality it all depends on what make you have brought.....Hopefully...what you have are a set of OEM (genuine original eqipment/manufactured parts) as supplied to volkwagen, possibly made by Beru or Bosch.
If this is the case then you're laughing! as the parts are practically the same as you would get via VW but with the smaller price tag.
