85 - gets a bit white knuckle after that though
I only get that speed cos mine is a tintop and almost everything in it was constructed using the lightest materials.
Its a 1.9DG - about 25,000 miles on a recon

They do say if you flap the wing mirrors and shift about in your seat you can do 100 but unfortunately no one has lived to tell the tale.

Wound mine up beyond 65 once.
It will never happen again.... dont have a rev counter but it must have been spinning faster than a jet turbine judging by the noise...
1.6d n/a - not fast, not furious

Usually sit at a stready 65 (dial says 70) but I have hit 75 (80 on dial) downhill on motorways
Don't make a habit of it though. Uses too much lpg and the price is only going up

Or fit a decent engine and you can easily see 100mph +

Don't know the exact speed since the needle touches the end stop.
Sounds like a jet engine at these speeds and have only done it a couple of times

Mine will sit at 80 on the speedo on the flat but sounds rather strained. No rev counter but must be somewhere near max revs. 1.9DG on LPG.

We did 70 one time down hill with the wind behine us fully loaded with camping stuff and a full tank of LPG. But I think gravity might have had something to do with it. We got 60kph on the back of a french recovery truck 2 years ago does that count. (1.9 DG High top on LPG)
1.9 watercooled hightop on LPG
