Upgrading headlights

Post by Bert2 »

Hi

I have an 1983 1.6 N/A Diesel Van and its time to upgrade the headlights. does anyone have a circuit diagrams etc.? I will be using extra relays to handle main and dip, as original set up is with out relays via the switch and that will soon burn out without. I'm an electrician so can put something together but just wondered if anyone has a tried and tested system. cheers

There's also a guide in the wiki that you may find usefull. https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/VW ... headlights
Martin.

Diesel is an engine not a fuel.

I liked camping so much I went full time.

Better to use a separate relay for each dipped beam for safety, one light is better than no lights.
