Paul has already posted this in the stolen section, but we need your help. It should have been making its way down to us, but apparently it`s still around the Leeds area.

Re: Sorry to report another one stolen
How is that van going to be shifted on? Very distinctive, can't even really be split for body parts. Hopefully will be found soon.
Just as a point of interest, who actually owns the van now? Sandy or the new purchaser?

Re: Sorry to report another one stolen
Sandy has sold the van To Ian. Ian is a good customer of ours and was getting the van transported down to us for work to be carried out. We were phoned by the transport company on monday to say the van was coming down overnight, and would be with us by 8.30am. By 12 we phoned Ian who spoke to the transport company and told the driver had gone to Bude first and would drop off later. I had to go out locally in the afternoon, but got a call about 7pm saying that the van was outside my premises. I drove the 15 mins back to the shop to find out no van. Got a call the following morning to say van was at the top of telegraph hill, (bout 10 mile) and would be with me in about 1 hour. That was the last call I`ve had from the transport company. I didn`t have there number as always number with held. Ian has been in touch with the original transport people that picked up from Sandy, who dropped it off in leeds, the transport uses a network so could end up going with a couple of companies before reaching it`s destination. The original company that picked it up was told it was to go into a yard, then be moved again and have an engine fitted, but all they were contracted to do is move it and not carry out any work.
We believe the van is still around the Leeds area and has been reported to the police and all the details of the van and company have been passed on.
If anyone know`s the company or has any information on the where abouts of the van, then please call Leeds police (i`ll find out the report number) or call Ian.
Thanks for your help.
Dave

I'd heard its been found, but what happened?
Who had it, Where was it, while it was stolen?
Good to know if fellow 80/90ers who were asked to look out for it helped?

It's locked because there's an ongoing police investigation into the transport company for stealing and selling the Syncro and the VW breakers in Leeds who bought it from the transport company and then sold it the very same day..

Re: Sorry to report another one stolen
Interesting stuff. Great that it was pick-up so quickly. Gives alittle hope to all those who see/hear of others pride'n'joys dissappearing, although this case does seem to have had a much better chain for the Police to follow. Where as many just seem to vanish in the middle of the night.
I take it it was the Police that tracked it down or was it some eagle-eyed T3 owner?
Obviously, everyone understands company names can't be mentioned at this time.
