Charge cooler

Post by ninja.turtle007 »

Does anyone know if a Renault 5 Pace charge cooler will fit behind the rear light cluster?

Thanks

Isn't that what Pete is using on his mtdi? I'm sure someone is using an R5 turbo one...

I thought I had heard it somewhere but couldn't remember where. Normally get quite drunk at Syncro meets.

Is the pace, Renault 5 one, air to air? Or do you then need to get a dad, pump, pipes ect?

£107 I'm happy with that. The one I bought is water cooled and not just an intercooler.

Well they can be tricky to fit, but no need to call it a ba####d

PS intercooler = air-to-air, chargecooler = water-air/air-water pumped sytem.

Usually. Depending on who you ask...

Well done on that one, I was watching that one, but won the earlier Pace one for similar money, and today won an Appollo filter so all good to go.

I'm running a pace RS turbo one. Be tricky getting it behind the light, but it will fit elsewhere....

I have a Langerer & Reich watercooled intercooler on the westy. It´s a very tight fit, got a bit of trouble when fitting the AAZ (with its 11mm taller engine) as it sits on the left side wall of the engine bay, actually touching the oil vent lid on the valve cover. An expansion tank sits in the left side vent/air intake. I´d rather do something like this though:
