Probably too late with this reply but I've just come back from the Lakes and I stayed at Hollow's Farm, an NT site at Grange in Borrowdale, for £6 per person per night with free showers.

Did some of the waterfalls Ian, but not one you could walk behind? Maybe next time.
I'm in the lakes now, didn't book any sites :oops: quite busy up here isn't it! So on a farm tonight. Going to spend a couple of nights on a proper site, then hopefully a few couple of nights wild camping before we head home

your right it does look like a dogging area(not that i know what 1 looks like)but its a nice quiet spot during the week but on the weekend its full of youngsters partying.
