1.9 watercooled GW engine code?

Post by samviw »

Just wondering if anybody could shed some light on the GW engine code?

I've just bought an '86 T25 trident with a 1.9 watercooled petrol lump although it's running on fuel injection. The V5 shows the correct engine size (1915) and engine code is showing as GW.

Would be really interested to get some figures on performance and fuel economy if anybody knows where to find them.

Cheers
Sam

That'll be 90bhp. I used to get 22mpg in my westy and it didn't seem to matter how I drove it.

I read on BY that it needs super unleaded.

Some some good news for you and some :ok not so good news!!

Thanks Tom, I've just had a look on BY - very interesting.

It says that the DJ's should be run on 98 also although I bet most are run on standard regular unleaded, so should be ok to do also.

The GW's must be quite rare as never come across one before.

Thanks again
Sam
