Idle cut off switch connection

Post by Uncle Sheepy »

Hello,
I had a problem recently with my 1900 type 25. No idle, stalling constantly.
We discovered there was no power to the idle cut off switch from the little black wire that seems to connect below the carb somwhere??
The issue seemed to be (is) solved by connecting a unused (convenient) spade connector in the middle of another wire that connects to the top of the carb and using this as a power source.
Is this an ok thing to do or will it cause future problems, seems to run absolutely fine at the moment.
Cheers
Neil.

As long as it is a switched live...ie: live with the engine running but not live all the time.
