This is a telescopic pushrod tube which means you don't have to take the head off and therefore open a can of worms.

Nope, on a wbxer ... rocker cover off, rocker shaft assy. off (making note of what goes where), relevant pushrod out, pushrod tube cover off, destroy relevant tube, fit telescopic tube and seals, re-assemble.

I got a set of these Spring Loaded pushrod Tubes - £125 for a set of 8 - from Coolair....

Arrived next day, fitted @ garage, job done!!!

I got my garage to do the push rod tubes as they had swapped the engine over for me ...

Not sure how easy it was but they sorted it and charged me 2 hours labour!

Remove rocker covers, remove old tubes, insert new tubes, some amount of resetting....sorry I cant help more....I think there are fitting instructions from the Coolair website and in VW Transporter Haynes & Workshop manual..........

You dont say if the engine is water cooled or Aircooled.If its Aircooled then you need only replace the push rod tube 0 ring seals.
