Im a novice and have recently purchased my first VW T25 in the form of a 1989 2.1 petrol Westfalia California. Have read a lot of useful information on this site (and a few others) and carried out my first tasks (successfully so far!) such as a coolant and gearbox oil change.
I have an annoying issue in the form of the gear stick that seems obviously to be for a RHD vehicle. I say it is for a RHD as it is angled towards the right. Is it possible this has been incorrectly fitted and can I change this or do I need to try and find a replacement (which seems very difficult).
Thanks

Lever should bend to the left. Chances are some hamfisted git has been at it and bent it out of shape. Get a new one on.
