leak on jx injection pump now fixed

HELP

I am going to france in 4 days and have just pulled van out of garage and needed to charge battery and noticed when running a leak of deisel coming from under i think its called the actuater(there is a photo of this on Pierce's thread witch next to this one) as i still dont know how to post pictures thanks pierce.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what i can do to sort it,i am not very good with machanical things unless there pritty straight foreward ?
even point me in the right direction as to weather it's easy to sort or hard ?

It's quite common for the pumps to leak from there, it's quite an easy fix just change the o ring
You can say alot of of things with "ar"

Yes mate it is, no idea where you can buy them possibly VW? I made my own with an o ring repair kit

I have ordered a lda shaft seal from Brickwoks,i should get it tomorrow.

question...... what else apart from the shaft seal goes under the arm(is there a washer and o ring or just the shaft seal? )
The reason i ask is when i took the arm of something fell and i can't find it ?? (washer or o ring )
Please can anyone advise me

I should think a normal washer should suffice?

Hi there,

I had this leak on my JX over the winter. The injection pump is made by Bosch and they still make spares for the pump. I think you can either buy the o-ring individually or as a pack of all the ones inside the pump for a referb. The O-ring costs 20p or so as I remember, maybe a tenner for the referb pack.

I got mine fixed by a local Bosch specialist. The guys there were really good and showed me an exploded picture of the pump with all the parts and really seemed to understand how it all worked.

Looking at the pictures this does not look like such a difficult repair - wish I'd done it myself now!
