16" syncro wanted

Post by jes*b »

hi, i am starting to look for a 16" syncro, I have owned various vans bugs etc but never a syncro. I am after a good original base vehicle to work on and allow me to begin daydreaming of expeditions to far flung places. I am in no desperate hurry. I have checked in with Busman and Tri-Star but any other tips or contacts would be much appreciated. Also - I am in east kent so if theres anyone local to me that would like to offer me a guided tour of their syncro then that would be great. Cheers Jes

Get a 14" instead of a 16" cuz by the time you have put 15" rims on it and jacked it up you wont notice the difference ........... better choice of good vehicles and there are some very good ones on http://www.mobile.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; at the moment.

Agree, 16" have a certain 'extra special' element but for what you describe not needed & probably more negs than pos.

found an interesting one - 16" panel van, looks in ok shape, maybe had paint but only minor rust in usual spots nothing major. No front 4x4 gubbins as has been removed (and slung!) in region of 3K euro. Thoughts??

Keep looking as to replace all that is missing will cost quite a bit - £2k plus as the 16" gubbins is hard to find. Avoid 'cheap' major projects.
