Help Again! What is this

Post by VEEDUB »

Whilst trying to sort out the electrical problem on the solenoid I noticed a pipe dripping oil constantly and I don't know what it is or whether I have disconnected it from somewhere it looks like it is coming from some kind of pump there is a feed in at the top and the oily looking one in the photo is the one that is dripping (where does this go), the location is underneath the engine towards the front on the side of the gearbox.I cannot keep up with the problems at the moment :( Cheers for any adviceImage

It looks like the fuel pump. The oil leak might not be coming from the pump. You really need to clean it all up and find out if the oil is coming from the pump or just running down from higher up. If the pump has failed internally it could be putting petrol into your engine oil. :!: I think the pump has normally got a petrol feed from the tank, a petrol feed going to the engine bay and a breather / vent.
