Oil Cooler

Post by spet25 »

Afternoon wiseones

Just got back from camperjam and have developed a leak from the oil cooler. Haynes seems to only cover refit after engine dismantle,

Does anyone happen to have a idiots guide on replacing them and what gaskets are need, CU 2.0 engine.

Thanks

few simple steps in brief...
* Engine out (or lowered down with gearbox attached still)
* Alternator and fan housing off
* Undue 3 bolts to removed oil cooler.
* Put on new cooler with new seals.
* Refit fan and alternator.
* Refit engine/lift up and bolt rear bar back into place

***** Are you sure its the oil cooler? as on my bus it was the oil filter housing which was split - to get that off follow the above as you need to remove the oil cooler to access one of the bolts for the oil filter housing
